While words given at a memorial service are always positive and glowing, none of it was hyperbole. You can say that these speakers knew Ruth as the public figure she was, but as someone who has spent time with Ruth in the most private of moments, I can say that the words spoken here ring true at home too, where one's true character is always seen.  Ruth consistently lived the way mentioned by these speakers, whether acting publicly in front of many people or being a private person in her own home.  ~Thuan
